Welcome to Italic Primary and Montessori Teachers Training Institute (I.M.P.T.I.), All Graduate and appearing Graduate students are invited here; specially to those who wants to groom there career in the teaching profession. IMPTI follows the methods of Dr. Maria Montessori which is recognized and accepted as one of the best educational method throughout the world. this Montessori method itself covers the development of child from birth to adulthood .our aim is to focus and show the pathway to our students through our experienced faculties with each and every corner of education related to children. Graduate or appearing Graduate students are welcome to take appropriate steps to make learning enjoyable with various stress free activities.

The course focused on pre-primary as well as primary level of learning and also theory and practical which are vital part of any Montessori and primary training.

Fulfillment of needs of legal under registration by Government of West Bengal Trust Board with Registration No. 8850. With its own office at Italic Montessori and Primary Teachers Training Institute, C/o Ankur Pre-School, 33/22B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Kolkata-32.

 Montessori System of Education

Dr. Maria Montessori studied the child as a maker and as a master. Our first teacher will be the child himself. We must help the inner teacher of the child. With our cooperation only, one child can develop their physical and mental skills. According to Dr. Maria Montessori children have passion for work, self disciplined and confidence, so as an assistant we must provide them a good technique of education.

This method is based on the firm believe that every child is born with creative potentials, so child can be treated as an individual.

 Why this Method is being implemented in Indian Scenario?

Young children unconsciously absorb information as they explore their environment. Dr. Montessori believed there are sensitive periods in which certain environmental stimuli are especially interesting to children. Therefore, teachers and parents should capitalize on these periods by providing an abundance of high interest activities and appropriate lessons at the right time. One early sensitive period that Montessori described in detail in The Absorbent Mind is the period of learning language, which is a common topic among developmental theorists (and the media) today. Another important period, which begins in the first year, is the one that makes a child extremely sensitive to order. Dr. Montessori observed and identified eleven different sensitive periods occurring from birth through age six. Teachers can maximize cognitive development during sensitive periods by closely observing the child, noting her interests and developmental level in each area, and presenting lessons with the appropriate materials. In addition, the teacher encourages the children to pursue their interests, such as butterflies, while making connections to various areas of the curriculum. Observing developmental levels and integrating their interests across the curriculum is what we call "following the child." The goal of the Montessori environment is to allow each child to fully develop his intellectual skills, not to push the child in order to meet some normative schedule of development or requirements for standardized testing.

Success in school is directly linked to the degree to which children believe that they are capable and independent human beings. As we allow students to develop a meaningful degree of independence, leadership and self-discipline, we also set a pattern for a lifetime of good work habits and a sense of responsibility. Personal anecdotes from Montessori alumni explain that their school prepared them across the curriculum and taught them how to plan and organize their work. The students leave the Montessori school with a strong sense of self, a deep respect for others and a love of learning that will enable them to be successful in other schools and in all aspects of life.

 Why IMPTI follows all the Systems and Process Recharged by Dr. Maria Montessori?

Montessori education is an educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori and characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological, physical, and social development. Although a range of practices exists under the name "Montessori", the Association Montessori International (AMI) and the American Montessori Society (AMS) cite these elements as essential:

Mixed age classrooms, with classrooms for children ages 2½ or 3 to 6 years old by far the most common
Student choice of activity from within a prescribed range of options
Uninterrupted blocks of work time, ideally three hours
A constructivist or "discovery" model, where students learn concepts from working with materials, rather than by direct instruction
Specialized educational materials developed by Montessori and her collaborators
Freedom of movement within the classroom
A trained Montessori teacher

In addition, many Montessori schools design their programs with reference to Montessori's model of human development from her published works, and use pedagogy, lessons, and materials introduced in teacher training derived from courses presented by Montessori during her lifetime.
